Package: Openlink/MIPSel Tools
Version: 0.52b/2.0

Description: While installing some Perl modules with CPAN on my MIPS LS with Openlink 0.52b I found the following bugs. These are not very tricky errors, just hope this may save others some time debugging…:

1. cc is not present and therefor CPAN sometimes doesn’t compile. I fixed this by adding a link to gcc:

cd /usr/bin
ln -s gcc cc

(BTW adding cc=gcc before the cpan cmd as suggested elsewhere on this wiki did not work on my LS).

2. mipsel-linux-gcc points to gcc3.3, which doesn’t exist. This can be fixed by the following:

cd /usr/bin
rm mipsel-linux-gcc
ln -s gcc mipsel-linux-gcc

With these fixes I could successfully install all perl packages with CPAN.
